An update barely two days after the last !! woohoo !! Yeah, you're not dreaming !
What to say ! First of all, welcome to
xxjasmine_7xx and also my dear bre
vezius into my friends page !
Went to see Harry Potter and the Prisonner of Azkaban, the film by Alfonso Cuarón based on Joanne K Rowling third Harry Potter book. The film itself wasn't too bad, I guess. Better than the two movies by Chris Colombus anyway. I just can't stand how they take two scenes with no link between them, and merge them so it gives something nasty. But that's just my part. I know they can't put everything into the movie, they'd have a 7-hours long movie if they did that...
Spent the evening browsing stuff for my new Linux partition. I downloaded Fedora Core 2 within 3 hours, I'll burn the CD and install them later, probably during the week end. I then went to browse the last KDE, which is absolutely brilliant ! I suggest you all go to see the screenshots - it's just so good looking ! Man, I want it now !! Plenties of new cool features...
I'll download OpenOffice.org (Ooo) along with a few other programs that I believe are not included within Fedora Core 2, and then I'll be able to at last move from Windows to Linux... What I basically needed was Kopete, and I couldn't manage to upgrade KDE (it required KDE 3.1.4+) from my Red Hat 9. I tried Gaim instead but I really don't like it, ayttm could have done the job but isn't congenial to use, Kopete seems to be perfect, so I need it, and guess what, it's included in the new KDE which is included in Fedora... So, here we go !! KDE 3.2.2 has a bunch of new features, including Konsole transparency... which we must say is beautiful when you have a Matrix background, isn't it ?
So, I think that's all for the moment, I left
indylos playing with the bbarden network board while writing this - Hope she hasn't been misbehaving... Hope you're all well - cheers !
